How to read what you're seeing

Everything here comes from a single moment — the exact time you took your first breath, in the exact place on Earth where it happened. Your astrology and your Human Design are both drawn from that one point. A few of the pieces below only need your birth date; the rest sharpen with your birth time, which is why we ask for it.

Your Sun sign

The one most people already know. Your Sun is your core — the energy you're here to grow into and shine out. It moves slowly, so it only needs your birth date.

Your Moon sign

Your inner weather. The Moon describes what you need in order to feel safe, and how you comfort yourself when you're depleted. The Moon moves quickly — about half a degree an hour — so a birth time makes it precise.

Your Rising sign

Also called your Ascendant: the sign that was climbing over the eastern horizon as you were born. It's how you "dawn on the world", the first impression you make and how others may describe you before getting to know you better. It shapes the whole architecture of your chart. Because the horizon shifts roughly one degree every four minutes, your Rising sign genuinely cannot be calculated without a birth time.

Your Type

Your Type is the foundation of your whole design — the way your energy is built to move, to create, and to draw the right opportunities toward you. There are five, and each one carries its own genius: the Generator, the Manifesting Generator, the Projector, the Manifestor and the Reflector. None is better than another. Yours simply shows you the most natural, least effortful way to move through the world — the way you were always meant to.

Your Strategy

Your Strategy is your personal recipe for flow. It's the way you're designed to say yes, to begin, and to let the right things come to you instead of chasing them down. When you honor it, life stops feeling like a fight — the doors that are meant for you begin to open on their own, right on time.

Your Authority

Your Authority is your inner compass — the specific way your body and your being tell you what's a true yes and what's a true no. For some it rises slowly, over a good night's sleep; for some it's an instant gut knowing; for some it's a quiet nudge from within. Learning to trust yours is how decision-making becomes simple, and how you come home to the wisdom that was in you all along.

Why your birth time matters so much

  • Your Rising sign changes roughly every two hours.
  • Your Human Design chart depends on planetary positions calculated to the minute, both at your birth and at a second moment about eighty-eight days earlier.
  • Your Moon can shift signs within a single day.

If you're not certain of your time, your birth certificate is the best source. Many hospitals also keep records, and in some places you can request a long-form certificate that includes it.

What we do with your information

Nothing at all. This calculator runs entirely inside your own browser — your birth details never leave your device, are never sent to The Healing Studio, and aren't stored anywhere. There's no sign-up and no email required. The only thing we look up online is the location of the city you type, so we can find its coordinates and time zone.
